Kenyan in and around Cape Town

Where am I? Did anything change?

The South African Apartheid government made clear that its ultimate aim was the total removal of the black population from South Africa thereby minimizing contact with the black population. The black population was then forced into homelands townships, shanty-towns and slums on the outskirts of South African cities. This was, among other reasons, because the economy of white South Africa depended on access to a black labour force. Did anything change post 1994? I don’t see black South Africans everywhere I go … maybe I haven’t been to a bantustan or a township 😦
